 In the early nineties of the century, along with the old established heroes, many new heroes were active like Raj Babbar, Govinda, Kumar Gaurav, Kamal Haasan, Sunny Deol, Farooq Sheikh, Vijay Arora, Sanjay Kapoor etc. The number of films made here also increased tremendously. In this period, the names of Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff were associated with a few big successes. The hugely successful films Woh Saat Din, Ramlakhan, Mr India, Beta etc made Anil Kapoor the Mr India of that time. They were trying to sit in the number one star gathering for a time.
