Apsara

 Tilottama was the daughter of Kashyapa and Arishta, who was a Brahmin in her previous birth and was cursed to be an Apsara for taking an untimely bath. According to another legend, it was a woman named Kubja who had attained the position of Vaikuntha by her penance. At that time two demons named Sunda and Upasunda did severe penance for Brahma ji. Lord Brahma appeared to grant the boon. Both were very happy knowing Brahma ji was pleased with his penance. Both said to Brahma ji in one voice. Brahmadev, you make us immortal. Let us not die.
